My photographic series “Ease” is a nonverbal monologue — a quiet, poetic meditation on music, tenderness, and the emotional world of a child.
This project was born in 2013 from the daily, wordless conversations I shared with my daughter, Filipa, who was just one year old at the time.
At its heart, “Ease” is an attempt to capture the fragile interplay between sound and stillness, presence and memory.
In these images, a little girl holds her favorite toy — not merely as an object, but as a companion, a rhythm, a fragment of her inner music.
There are no words here — only gestures, light, texture, and the soft current of emotion that passes between us.
